1. It’s a show you can watch safely if you’ve quit smoking, won’t tempt you.
2. There’s no incentive if you’re a guy. Every guy watches Mad Men because tons of cute girls love it.
3. The Wire is about drugs, Mad Men is about advertising, you decide what’s more interesting.

5. There’s no character as cool as Omar in Mad Men. You’ll never see a gun toting guy who walks around in a silk robe looking for Honey Nut Cheerios.
6. The Wire doesn’t need 10,000 billboards to convince you to watch it.
7. You’ll seem like a more interesting guy at parties, that you’ve seen the Wire, you can talk about society and not be the faceless 10th person at the party who mentions the new episode of Mad Men.
8. You don’t want to be grouped into the large number of hipsters who all secretly wish they could talk down to and degrade women.
9. Sure, Mad Men has style and everything looks really slick. But I prefer substance to style.
10. If you’re as sick as I am of everybody telling you to watch Mad Men. That’s reason enough to stay away.
