Well here we are once again. Another Monday come and gone. So let’s get to it.
Clash of the Titans is a remake of the classic film that was released in 1981. The updated version stars Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, and a whole lot of other familiar names.
Official Review: TOO CLOSE TO CALL
Although the film does have redeeming qualities, such as fantastic visuals and unique visions of Greek mythology, the script is SO bad I would only watch this movie again if I could mute it/skip over any part that involves talking.
Clash of the Titans was originally set for a March release, until the production caught the 3D bug. The release date was pushed back to April 2 and now we have a quasi-crappy movie to enjoy in 3D.
The reason I did NOT give this movie a “Forget It” rating is because the redeeming qualities of this movie were enough for me to not completely hate it. I really liked their vision for the river Styx, their allusion to the atrocity that was “Bubo” from the original film, and the pacing of the action scenes that kept you on the edge of your seat.
I encourage those of you who are fans of popcorn flicks or those of you have 10 bucks to spare to go see this film. If you aren’t easily pleased or want to see something that has depth, then don’t waste your time.
Until next weekend!!
