How is it possible that I had never seen or even heard “I’m Afraid Of Americans” until just yesterday? Apparently, I was living under a rock when David Bowie released his collaboration with Trent Reznor over a decade ago. Leave it to those sexy motherfuckers to create a love child that is still – nay, even more – relevant in today’s climate. I’m not “ashamed” to be an American, but I do wish we’d stop meddling in other people’s countries, especially when our own seems to be in a constant state of distress. Just sayin’.
