Welcome to the first installment of “Fuck & Suck”. This is the blog post where you can waste three minutes of your precious time reading about my telling people to fuck off and suck it. This is where I’ll also devote time to talking about things that fucking suck.

Here’s something that sucks a load of ass trash. Did you know that railways belong to the public, yet private companies hijacked them to make a profit and charge the shit out of you to ride on them? Train tickets are expensive, but they don’t have to be. Think about it this way. You can find flights from L.A. to San Francisco for $69 if you’re lucky. To travel the same way via train costs about the same. And what are you getting for it?

Well, one method of transport flies you high into the air at around 600 m.p.h. and gets you to your destination rather quickly. The other method takes about 12 hours and you’re “flying” if you’re kissing 90 m.p.h.

So one method of transport offers so much more compared to the other, but they cost about the same.  Somebody’s getting fucked here.

Would you pay the same price to send an email to New York City from Vancouver as you would t0 walk a letter on foot across the North American continent? An email costs virtually nothing. Walking costs a lot more. It takes roughly four months to walk from Vancouver, British Columbia to New York, New York. You’d have to keep yourself fed and properly clothed for those months, and you’d have to find places to sleep along the way. The total costs would end up being at least $6,000.

You’d agree at this point that walking across a continent to deliver a letter would be a good way to fuck yourself. What the railroad companies are doing isn’t that much different.

All you’re getting is travel on a glorified bus that can ride on rails.

So whoever decided to make a ton of profits by hijacking something that belongs to the public, I say fuck them. They can suck it.
