Johnny Depp “Unlovable”?

Published on April th, 2010 - Author: Cara

I like to think I’m a musical connoisseur of sorts…

However, until a few days ago, I’d never heard of Babybird, a British band formed in the mid-1990s.

The group is led by frontman Stephen Jones and their latest single is called “Unlovable,” which features the very loveable Johnny Depp on guitar.

This isn’t the first time Depp has put his musical chops to use.  He has previously played guitar on two Oasis tracks, “Fade In-Out” and “Fade Away.”

In addition to playing on the Babybird track, Depp also directed the recently unveiled music video.  Apparently Yahoo has banned said video due to its “graphic” ending.

I know you’re curious now, right?  You want to see it now, don’t you?

Kudos to Babybird for creating a good song and kudos to Johnny for directing something that’s more of a four minute and 23 second mini-film than a regular, run of the mill music video.

The video is based on the story “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” by Ambrose Bierce.

love j-depp and everything he does. After all, his first aspiration was to be a musician before an actor. He's also in quite few worthwhile music vids (tom petty, lemonheads). Every Depp fan should check out the movie “Dead Man.”
