What can I say about Kick-Ass by Mark Millar….Well I will say this, it is pretty much one of the most violent bloody, most amazing new comics I’ve read in a while. Kick-Ass takes place in the real world where there aren’t any superheroes, just normal people. The story follows young Dave Lizewski, who is just your average high school kid who loves comics. One night Dave thinks that he could be a superhero, so he gets a wet suit as costume and a stick as a weapon and goes out on the prowl, the first few nights nothing happens. Then his chance to act comes up, he’s gonna bust some taggers. What’s happens when Dave goes to stop them… the tree taggers beat the shit out of Dave to within in an inch of his life, then run away, and as he struggles for safety across a street he gets hit by a car. So after months of physical therapy, Dave decides to put the suit away…or does he? I don’t mean to leave you hanging but you seriously should go buy and read this comic. It’s only 4 issues in so far, and they just released a mini trade paperback of it so do yourself a fucking pleasure and go pick it up. I promise you, I swear on my undead mother’s grave you will fall in fucking love with this book.? If you didn’t know, Mark Millar wrote Wanted also, so the guy’s amazing.
