These are my real notes that I took down in a Medieval English lecture. I think it’s funny that you can pinpoint the exact moment when I start losing interest in what the lecturing is saying and as a result what I write down gets compromised. Spelling and grammar suffer also. Oh and whenever “FUCK” appears that is when the lecturer has changed slides too quickly and I have missed my chance to take a sentence down.
-Christianity-brought written verse.
-Developement of anglo saxon law and language.
-Wrote down other texts aswell.
-Written literature in vernacular born. Celebration of warrior ethos.
-Heroic poetry that anglos/saxons brought to England.
-Very different to the middle english tradition that Chaucer was crackin on about.
-Iambic Pentametre is what got him hard. He thought it were gurj.
-Letter called thorn came from runic shit. Common as a Garden knome.
-Stress and aliteration. Why does this macbook not auto correct my notes. Helmet of warriors adorned with two dragons that met. Sounds saucy.
-Beowulf set on the continent. England never mentioned in it. Fought three hoes. Grendal, his momma and some dragon.
-Beowulf anonymous. He enjoyed different disguises perhaps.“So the spear danes in days gone by FUCK.
-Entries become aroused and more detailed. Posted out to different anglo saxon cities even though post hadnt been invented yet.
-Start writing. Monk heads. Kinewulf and Kineherd. That cant be the right spelling. Kinewulf fought lots of shit. Cornish pastrys etc.
-Thinks Kineherd, Siggys bro is doing stuff-gets kicked out. –hilarity ensues. Thinks that good moment and FUCK.

I did the same thing back in college. It kept me alive during boring classes. Thanks for taking me back, mate.
glad im not the only one!
hahaha i love it. i still take notes the old fashioned way in a notebook, and my pages are mostly scribbles and doodles, unflattering portraits of the professors, and incoherent attempts at recording the lecture.
i took very similar notes in a mythology class. Gotta applaud yourself when you actually can use these to study though.
