This Prius trend is absolutely ridiculous and if you fall for all their bullshit advertising, you are an idiot. When you buy one of these new Tr’s Chic Hollywood self-righteous vehicles you are really buying nothing more than a moped or a 1980′s Toyota engine. Not only do you look stupid because it’s an ugly car, you look like a pretentious prick as well because it’s a PRIUS!

So here are the cold hard facts about the Prius. It is a 1.5-liter engine that puts out roughly 76 hp. The engine they use is the VVT-i- 4 cylinder. Do you know what that is, folks? If you guessed a P.O.S. Toyota Corolla engine but .3 liters smaller you are absolutely right. This wonder car that is not only uglier than a Corolla, if that’s even possible I don’t know, but also costs more by almost seven thousand dollars and gives you less. My friends, if I’m not making myself clear here, you are buying a tiny 80′s status engine. It’s like putting a motorcycle engine in your car and telling us you get great gas mileage. Well no shit you get great gas mileage, the engine is tiny as hell and doesn’t even have enough hp to get you up past 80mph.

The other problem here is that this engine is not in fact that great, and does not get amazing gas mileage like everyone claims it does. Why do people buy into this nonsense that they sell you on. The engine itself gets approximately the same gas mileage as the Corolla. The difference is the battery engine that gives you those supposed extra miles. This is absolutely absurd though, because the gas engine itself doesn?t get those claimed 48mpg, and that?s my biggest pet peeve. They trick you into thinking that you are burning less gas per mile because the engine is better, when in fact you are just driving more on an electric engine.

Now that we established this big fallacy, lets move onto the fact that everyone that portrays himself or herself to be progressive and eco-friendly to get to get some ass drives one of these hideous hippy mobiles. Not only that, but it appears to be a law that if you do drive one you are required to have an Obama ’08 sticker. It’s as if you all really are sheep. If this isn’t proof that America is full of mindless idiots than I don’t know what is. Why not a Honda Civic hybrid? Sure it costs a bit more and gets a few less mpgs, but it’s a proper car. You can use it like a normal person from day to day, and it’s not uglier than all yuck. Is it because it’s too good looking of a car for you? Is it because its not the hot Hollywood idiot trend like Ed Hardy clothing? Or is just because it doesn’t pair well with your stupid Obama sticker?

If you people want to be progressive and save the environment, push for real fuel efficiency technology, push for no fuel dependence at all, take a bus, ride a bike, or get off your fat lazy ass and walk somewhere, because we all know Americans can use the exercise.
