Apparently if you wait long enough, dreams do come true.

Well, at least one of them. If you’re a musical geek like myself, get ready to be freakin’ stoked…
This summer, you might just be able to see the sing-along version of “Grease” in a theater near you.
Awesome, right?
You may not think it gets any better than belting out “Summer Nights” with your friends in the privacy of your own home, but it certainly does. Now you can dress up and suffer the same humiliation in public, surrounded by many more than just your closest compadres.
Here’s the catch: the movie is being released in theaters on July 8 for a mere two week run. Select theaters, I might add.
It’s sort of like what they did with “Paranormal State”… if you REALLY want the movie to come anywhere near you, you’re going to have to work for it. The official Grease Demand Competition page allows you to view a full list of towns/areas in the running and cast your vote.
As of right now, Sandy, Danny and the gang will be making an appearance in New York, Chicago, L.A., San Francisco, Dallas, Boston, Seattle, Miami, San Diego, Austin and Atlanta.
Hi, are TWO locations in Texas really necessary? Share the love, you Travolta gluttons.
P.S. Is it just me or did they digitally remove Sandy’s cigarette in the trailer? The moment in question is at about the 1:30 mark.
