Reflections- Motown Turns 50

Published on April th, 2010 - Author: Songbird

This week Motown celebrates 50 years of greatness. Hitsville U.S.A spawned some of the most significant music ever recorded.  Little did Berry Gordy know when he founded Tamla Records in 1959 (which became the Motown Record Corporation in 1960) that he would be instrumental in shaping the entire musical landscape. The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, The Isley Brothers, The Jackson 5, Gladys Knight and The Pips… it’s a veritable parade of  legends. Let’s take a moment and give kudos to some of the all time greats.
