The Truth About Britt Warner’s Playlist

Published on March th, 2010 - Author: Britt Warner

There have been some pretty vicious rumors lately. Yep. Right here on The Neave. Mainly, one of our writers thinks he has me pegged as the angsty, cock-rock type of chick. I’ll admit that there were some songs and bands on Jason Joyce’s list that I have listened to at one point in my life and – dare I say – enjoyed. That’s all in the past, though. Except for Korn. And Limp Bizkit…sometimes. And maybe the occasional Papa Roach indulgence, even, and…oh, damn you, Jason Joyce, you see right through me!

Jason Joyce: X-Ray Vision??

Panicked by the downright salaciousness of these accusations, I had to take a good, hard look in the mirror…or rather, at the 25 Most Played Songs on my iTunes application. The results were revealing, indeed, and more than a little relieving. True, one of my own songs is on there, but please don’t hold that against me. After recording a piece of music, I HAVE to listen to it over and over again, if only to suss out any potential improvements that could be made. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

And so, it is with much vulnerability and ado about nothing that I present to you:

Wow Britt, considering we’re a generation apart, I like many of your selections. I guess this means good taste knows no boundaries. One of these days I’ll have to post my faves and see if you like any of them.

I always feel a little silly when someone hears a song or album that I only listen to when I’m in a certain mood, and then they’re like, “I burned you this CD because I know how much you just love…” …that song you heard me sing along to once?..thanks! Haha, such is life I guess!
I must note though, songs 2& 4 are some of my all-time favorites from a mix tape that Derek gave me when I was about 11! Nice to see some stuff I recognize on this list!
