The economy is on the verge of collapse, World War III is headed our way, the middle class is shrinking, the prisons are so crowded they are starting to let convicts go free, the cost of higher education is rising precipitously, your children are going to pop out with more birth defects than ever, let alone getting burdened by your debt, you will pay more taxes (even for your laundry), the summers are getting warmer while the winters are getting colder, acid rain neurotoxins will pelt Gulf Coast residents during the next hurricane thanks to that dispersant that is more toxic than the oil itself, President Obama will continue carrying out his dictatorship going against EVERY promise he made in 2008, chemtrails will continue to be dropped upon an unassuming public, a numb populace will continue getting informed via Fox News, wage slavery will take on a more literal meaning, world currency will rear its ugly head, followed by world government, pollution will increase, health care will find a way to get more expensive, the food on your table will be less nutritious, the milk you drink will make you fart more and the grease you “drink” will continue to harden your arteries.
All the while you will continue to grow older, complaining about your creaky joints, sore back, lack of flexibility, lack of sex drive, shortness of breath, poorer mental health, increased depression, wrinkled skin, sagging male and female breasts, cellulite, varicose veins, humped back, cataracts and gray hair, or grey hair if you speak the Queen’s English.
OK, so it’s the end of the world, but sane people can accept how the world is crazy; it’s always been that way. There’s no need for anger. Historically, violent revolution has replaced one form of tyranny with another. Just do what you do, remember the media reports solely on the bad, and keep waking up in the morning.
By the way, here are some dates when things will really suck a soft one: June 29th, July 10th and something really big on July 26th, 2010.

Once the shock that accompanies truth subsides, it’s important to live with more gusto than ever before. As you thoroughly pointed out, the world is FUCKED, but there is still so much beauty throughout. As writers and artists, we have an obligation not to shy away from provocative subject matter. Continue to help people awaken, while simultaneously continuing to enjoy the pockets of bliss that no amount of corruption can touch. Otherwise, it’s all too easy to go mad.
