Who are The Rogues you ask, I’ll tell you who they are.
- Captain Cold
- Mirror Master
- Heat Wave
- Weather Wizard
- Pied Piper
- The Trickster (a new one, the old one died in Countdown)
So, a little back story: During the short run of Flash: The Fastest Man, Bart Allen the new flash was killed by The Rogues. Which you would suspect that every supervillain group would want. But in reality The Rogues need The Flash — it’s a constant cat and mouse game they live for the constant chase, and thrill. So all during Countdown The Rogues were on the run. Captain Cold, Mirror Master, Heat Wave and Weather Wizard were caught and sent to some prison planet. While Piper and Trickster escaped capture, eventually Trickster was shot in the head and killed, which pretty much mentally fucked over Piper, who is pretty much insane now and not part of the group. So eventually the left-over Rogues escape the prison planet and are out for revenge on Inertia, who is a clone of Wally West as Kid Flash from the future. Inertia tricked The Rogues into killing the Bart Allen. Inertia was caught by the Wally West when he was brought back to the current reality by The Legion Of Superheroes in a run of Justice League America called The Lightning Saga. Anyway, Inertia was caught by Wally and and was frozen by some weird Speed Force power Wally has, and he was placed in the Flash Museum in Keystone City. Back to The Rogues. They are back and looking to kick some Inertia ass. Which essentially is what Final Crisis: Rogues’ Revenge is all about. In it you see The Rogues straight up murder some band of wannabe Rogues that moved into Keystone City while they were stuck on the prison planet (let’s just say in one part Weather Wizard creates a tornado in one guys stomach). Then there is a nice confrontation between Captain Cold and his father (whom he hates) which ends with him telling Heat Wave to cook his ass.
I used to think that the Injustice was the most badass supervillain team, but fuck that that The Rogues are definitely a crew you don’t wanna fuck with.
